Pisces Season: Two Artists Defining It Right Now (Justin Bieber & Bad Bunny)

Posted by Shannon Cunningham on

Pisces season is a time of emotional transition, intuition, and internal change. In this post, we look at how two artists born just nine days apart—Justin Bieber and Bad Bunny—embody that same Pisces energy in completely different ways.

What Pisces Season Feels Like

Pisces season always lands at a turning point.

March, at least where I live, is a perfect example. You can wake up to something that feels like spring—sunlight, softer air, the sense that maybe we’ve made it through—and by the afternoon you’re right back in winter again. Cold, snow, grey skies. It moves back and forth, not quite settling into either season.

That’s mutable energy.

Mutable signs are the season changers of the zodiac. They don’t hold things in place—they move them along. And Pisces, as the final mutable sign, does that internally. It’s less about what’s visibly changing around us and more about what’s quietly shifting underneath the surface as we move from winter into spring.

Pisces is the only mutable water sign, so its mutability is watery, mystical, and oceanic. Sigh.

Two Pisces Born Nine Days Apart

This year, I keep coming back to two artists who were born just nine days apart in 1994:

  • Justin Bieber

  • Bad Bunny

Same sign. Same month. Same year.
Astrologers love this kind of thing.

Both have a Pisces Sun, both share Mercury in Aquarius, and both have a Scorpio North Node. So there’s a real through-line here: emotional depth (Pisces), cultural awareness (Aquarius), and a life path built around transformation (Scorpio).

They feel deeply, but they’re also tuned into the collective. They don’t just express emotion—they translate something that’s happening in the wider culture.

Justin Bieber — Death, Rebirth, Refinement

I was gobsmacked by Justin’s Grammys performance and found myself watching it many times over. Enraptured.

Justin is someone who has lived the full arc—massive rise, very public unraveling, years of being combative with the paparazzi (honestly… fair), then stepping away completely and coming back different.

And not weaker—refined.

100% his own person.

There’s a precision to him that people forget. The control in his voice, the discipline in his dancing, the stamina of his live shows. He’s not just feeling his way through things—he’s trained, honed, tight.

In this performance, he was powerfully vulnerable. No dancing, no back-up band. And no clothes to speak of. The mirror and carpet were his only stage props besides his instruments.

The message was clear—you can take everything away from a person, but you can’t take their awareness. Their essence. Or their soul.

Bad Bunny — Fearless Expression and Cultural Power

Bad Bunny carries that same evolutionary pressure—but expresses it in a completely different direction.

I was filled to the brim with joy watching his halftime performance.

Bad Bunny was fearless. Incandescent.

At a time when a lot of people are feeling a real undercurrent of fear, he took one of the biggest stages in the world and filled it fully, joyfully, unapologetically, in Spanish.

No translation. No dilution. No asking.

Because Bad Bunny doesn’t ask—he sets the tone.

It was political in impact, but it didn’t feel like a speech. It felt like reality catching up to itself.

This man knows how to deliver a message. It didn’t matter if you didn’t speak the language.

What Their Astrology Reveals

What’s fascinating, from an astrology perspective, is how much can shift in just nine days.

Because while they share the same Pisces Sun, Mercury in Aquarius, and North Node in Scorpio, their personal planets tell two very different stories.

Bieber’s chart leans relational and airy. With a Libra Moon, he processes emotion through connection and reflection. His Venus in Pisces adds depth, devotion, and sensitivity, while his Aquarius placements give him perspective and control.

Even when he’s intense, there’s awareness there—he’s in it, but also thinking about it. You can see this even in his earliest interviews.

And because he lacks fire in his chart, he needs to retreat and recharge with the people he trusts—his wife & child, his God, and his homies.

Bad Bunny, on the other hand, is saturated in Pisces—Sun and Mars both in Pisces—but has a Venus in Aries that brings boldness, instinct, and edge.

And his Moon is a bit of a question mark. If he was born later in the day, it would be in Pisces. Earlier, and it likely falls in Aquarius—which, I think fits him beautifully.

Because there’s something about him that feels both immersed and aware. Fully expressive, but also shaping the moment as he moves through it.

Very similar to Justin’s Pisces-feeling, Aquarius-knowing blend.

But you can see a big difference in how their Venus shows up in their lives.

Where Bieber refines and channels his experience (Venus in Pisces), Bad Bunny expands and projects his (Venus in Aries).

Justin works through relationship, reflection, and mastery.
Bad Bunny moves with instinct, confidence, and creative authority.

Both are deeply Piscean. Deeply influential in this lifetime.

They’re expressing that same universal energy through very different internal wiring.

And that’s what Pisces season reminds us—there’s no one right way to move through change. Some of us pull back. Some of us move forward. Some of us take our time and feel our way through it.

I always find this time of year a bit disorienting, if I’m honest. Things are shifting, but not fully clear yet.

I can just move with it.

That’s perfect Pisces advice 💜
